Fall 2007 "Noteworthy" Coffee Fundraiser

COFFEE SALE A HUGE SUCCESS!

What a tremendous effort our choral students put forth on our first Italy fundraising campaign! 73 students participated, 1215 pounds of coffee were sold, and $1755 in donations was collected!  That brings our total profit to $8438!  Adding in the profit from the additional 55 pounds that the Guild has ordered for resale at our concerts, our grand profit total comes to $8740. As a point of comparison to last year's coffee sale, 78 students participated, 1287 pounds were sold, and $3212 in donations was collected, for a total profit of $10,291.  So, doing the math, last year's students averaged only about $12 more each than this years' students (or about 2 lbs of coffee)!  A great effort by all!

Congratulations to our two high sellers: Rachel Bumsted (Women's Chamber Choir) earned $472.50 towards her spring trip (over 20% of her cost) and Rebecca Card (Women's Select) earned $337.50!

Thanks to the help of Laura Bumpus, Susan Bumsted, Kim Young, Cyndi Gray, Kim Bailey, Cathy Rosenquist, Janet Wright-Simpson, Sharon Roman, and a supply of calculators, short order was made of double-checking and tallying all of the students' coffee orders!  (And a good time was definitely had by all.)

On Friday, November 2nd, the coffee arrived via truck and the driver was kind enough to move the two pallets into the Fischer garage (phew)!  A huge thank you to choral students Sean Fischer, Erik Matson, Adam Check, and Andrew Paulson for helping with set up on Friday night, and to the volunteers on Saturday who spent 2-1/2 hours pulling, checking, assembling, and alphabetizing by student name coffee orders for distribution: students Robert Higgins, Rachael Bumsted, and Linsey Park, and choral parents Paul Higgins, Sheryl Check, Peggy Raitor, Kim Young, Dave Young, Susan Bumsted, Lisa Zinninger, Catherine Kinniburgh, and SooJung Kim.  A great group effort by all!
