A Welcome Letter from Dr. Lambert

Dear Langley Choral Students and Parents:

On behalf of the Choral Music Department at Langley High School, I would like to welcome you (or welcome you back) to the Choral Program!  I am delighted that you have chosen to be part of the choir family.

We have some wonderful concerts and events planned for all the choirs. A complete list of concert and rehearsal dates appears on the Choir Calendar. Information about the policies and procedures we follow in the Choral Department can be found in the Choral Handbook

Parents, I hope you will become involved in our Choral Guild. This group of very active parents provides the support the Choral Department needs to sustain our yearly activities. The Guild has meetings monthly, as needed, and all parents are welcome. (Check the Monthly Calendar for details.)

Last year was an exciting one for our choirs as we received gold medals for all four Langley choirs at the Heritage Festival in Orlando, Florida.  2011-12 promises to be yet another exciting school year for our choirs, and I am looking forward to working with you all.  We are currently in the midst of planning a wonderful international Spring Trip to visit the cities of Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg.  The trip will allow some fantastic performance opportunities in a variety of beautiful churches, and may include participation in the international music festival "Young Prague!"  The Choral Guild is working hard to reduce the cost for any students who wish to go, and it is my hope that everyone will participate.

My goal is to make the best music we possibly can. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you in advance for your support.
