Choirs under Dr. Lambert’s direction have consistently received superior ratings in District and National events.  In March 2006, all four Langley Choirs attending the Heritage Music Festival in San Diego were awarded gold medals.  In addition, the Madrigals received the Adjudicator Award as well as the Outstanding Choir Award for being the highest scoring choir in the festival.  In April 2007, all four Langley Choirs once again took home "gold" after performing in the Heritage Music Festival in Orlando.  Three of the choirs earned the Adjudicator Award for having an average score of 95 or better, while the Madrigals once again received the Outstanding Choir Award, receiving 99 out of 100 points.  At both Festivals, Langley High School earned the Choral Sweepstakes Award for having the two highest scoring choirs in the competition.

Dr. Lambert has served as a guest clinician and adjudicator for various District events throughout the state, including the District V Honors Choir.  He is also the past President of the Virginia Chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association.
