The National Institutes of Health (NIH), MusiCares, and the GRAMMY Foundation jointly announced a Teen Substance Abuse Awareness through Music Contest. Young musicians, ages 14 - 18 are invited to compose or create an original song and/or music video that explores, encourages, and celebrates a healthy lifestyle, or accurately depicts a story about drug abuse.
The winners will receive a small cash prize and have their entries posted on the GRAMMY 365 and Think MTV websites. In addition, they will have the opportunity to attend the 53rd annual GRAMMY Awards Backstage Experience during a rehearsal in January. The winners will be announced in early November during National Drug Facts Week. Entries must be no more than 3 minutes long and postmarked no later than October 15th.
