Coffee Sale

LHS Chorus Noteworthy Coffee on Sale Now!

On April 3-7, 2013 our choral students will travel to San Diego, California to compete with choir students in the WorldStrides Heritage Music Festival. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity that we hope all students can participate in.  The Choral Guild is providing as many opportunities as possible for students to raise funds toward the cost of their trip. We are kicking off the fundraising efforts with a return of our successful Coffee Sale.  Our vendor is Chesapeake Bay Roasting company a local coffee company located in Crofton, Maryland (www.bcrccoffee.com). CBRCOFFEE coffee roasts coffee in a roaster that uses 78% less energy so it is THE most sustainable coffee you can buy. Their coffees come in a gorgeous steel can that is reusable and recyclable, and they produce the most sustainable, “green” coffees you can find (see our recent Washingtonian Green Award)

On Thursday and Friday, September 6th and 7th, details concerning this fundraiser will be shared with students during their choir classes and sales packets will be distributed.  Please keep an eye out for these packets and do everything that you need as a family to help your student take advantage of this fundraising opportunity.  Please note that in order for your student to qualify for a Varsity Letter at the end of the school year, participation in fundraising is encouraged (see page 12 of Choral Handbook).  There are many ways to accomplish this ~ selling coffee to friends and family is one of them!

You can also help by making sure your student turns in his or her forms and money on time, NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th.  Please also have your student check that their forms are completely filled out, all checks are correctly written, and orders are tallied with the money collected.  Having a second pair of eyes review everything before turning in the forms and money will help eliminate errors, making order processing more efficient and delivery to customers that much faster.

Thank you in advance for your support.  If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, please feel free to contact Viji Rudraraju at rajuvijil@yahoo.com.
